The law touches your life every day. Your job, your business, your rights. Technology is changing how all of it works. This September, you get a front row seat to that change.
The Uganda Law Society under the Radical New Bar is hosting its 2nd Annual Legal Tech Festival under the theme The theme this year is The Radical New Bar: Pioneering AI-Empowered Justice, Innovation, Ethics, Inclusion, and Sustainable Transformation. Here is why you should be part of it.
It comes for you first
Before the main festival in Kampala, RNB TechFest runs regional mini techfests in three cities.
Mbarara hosts Western Uganda on 14 September.
Gulu hosts Northern Uganda on 15 September.
Mbale hosts Eastern Uganda on 16 September.
You do not need to travel to the capital to take part in the conversation the festival is coming to you
AI is no longer optional in legal practice
Artificial intelligence already shapes legal research, case prediction, and access to justice tools. RNB TechFest gives you a direct look at how these tools work and what they mean for your practice, your firm, and your clients.
Ethics and inclusion sit at the center, not the sidelines
New technology raises new questions. Who gets left out when justice goes digital? Who is accountable when an algorithm gets it wrong? This festival tackles these questions directly, alongside the innovation itself.
Earn yourself CLE points while you learn
Members can earn 10 CLE points across the festival. Your professional development and your front row seat to the future of the profession happen at the same event.
The main festival brings everyone together
After the regional techfests, the festival culminates in the main event on 17 and 18 September at Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo, Kampala. This is where the regional conversations converge into one national moment for Uganda's legal profession.
Learn from people shaping the Tech law today
The festival brings together judges, advocates, regulators, and tech founders. These are the people writing the rules and building the tools. Their sessions give you insight you will not find in a textbook or a webinar recording.
Build connections that matter
6,000 people from across the legal and tech sectors do not gather like this often. Whether you are a student looking for mentors or a professional looking for partners, the festival puts the right people in the same room as you.
Understand what digital democracy means for you
Digital tools can make justice more accessible or push it further out of reach. The direction depends on decisions being made now. Attending the festival means you help shape that direction instead of reading about it after the fact
Who should attend
Advocates and legal practitioners who want to stay ahead of industry change
Law students building their understanding of where the profession is headed
Policymakers shaping digital governance and access to justice
Innovators and tech founders building tools for the legal sector
Anyone curious about how technology affects their legal rights
Mark your calendar.
The 2nd Annual Legal Tech Festival returns 17–18 September 2026 at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, Kampala two days where law meets innovation, connections spark, and the future of legal practice takes shape. Don’t just watch it unfold. Be there.
