Lex:lead 2020 essay competition open for registration

Lex:lead's 2020 essay competition is open for registration. Law students from eligible countries are invited to enter this year's competition answering the following question: How can laws promoting gender and disability rights support economic development?
Forms and details available at www.lex-lead.org. Students should register by 31 October 2020 with 5-page essays due 1-31 December2020. A panel of international judges will assess submissions in January 2021 with up to 17 awards of US$500 announced in February 2021. The winning essays may be published.
Eligible Countries:Asia/Pacific: Afghanistan; Bangladesh; Bhutan; Cambodia; Kiribati; Laos; Myanmar (Burma); Nepal; Solomon Islands; Timor-Leste; Tuvalu; Vanuatu; Yemen. Americas: Haiti. Africa: Angola; Benin; Burkina Faso; Burundi; Central African Republic; Chad; Comoros; DR Congo; Djibouti; Eritrea; Ethiopia; Gambia; Ghana; Guinea; Guinea Bissau; Lesotho; Liberia; Madagascar; Malawi; Mali; Mauritania; Mozambique; Niger; Papua New Guinea; Rwanda; São Tomé and Príncipe; Senegal; Sierra Leone; Somalia; Sudan; South Sudan; Togo; Tanzania; Uganda; Zambia; Zimbabwe.
Eligible students must be both a citizenof one of these countries andenrolled in studies at the time of the award with at least one law class in one of these countries.
