Lisa Atukunda is a passionate and forward-thinking legal professional with an LLB (Hons) from Uganda Christian University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP) from the Law Development Centre, and an LLM from Stellenbosch University.
Her expertise lies at the intersection of international law, arbitration, and climate change law, where she focuses on the evolving role of law in addressing global environmental and human rights challenges. Lisa’s academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing research-based solutions, particularly in climate justice within the African context.
With experience in legal research, policy analysis, and academic writing, Lisa has worked with judicial bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions, contributing to projects that bridge law, policy, and sustainable development. She is equally passionate about mentoring young scholars and hopes to build a career in academia shaping legal thought and policy toward a more just and sustainable world.
