In this Role, You Will:
ONE Canada is seeking two summer interns eager to learn and contribute to monitoring and coordinating strategic policy and advocacy initiatives. Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and analyzing political activity and national/international trends.
Drafting background documents for campaign development and policy agendas.
Coordinating with the Policy and Advocacy Manager and contributing to planning and accountability systems.
Supporting the drafting of communications with Members of Parliament and their staff.
Collaborating with ONE’s partners and allies on policy matters.
What You Bring to ONE
This internship is part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program and requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee status in Canada. Ideal candidates will possess:
A genuine passion for ONE’s Policy and Advocacy priorities.
Background research skills in international development, global health, and international climate finance.
Experience supporting policy advocacy and citizen engagement.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Proficiency in multitasking, working under pressure, and prioritizing projects.
Other Attributes:
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain positive in high-pressure situations.
Critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Language Skills
Fluency in English required, proficiency in other languages preferred, such as French.
Compensation & Schedule
This internship is 30 hours per week, paying C$20.00 per hour, and lasts for 12 weeks.
Travel
Possible travel within the Ottawa/Toronto area.
