KALUNGI ABU (KAREEM)
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR INFORMATION
Kalungi Abu Kareem is a Law Student at Uganda Christian University (UCU) and a passionate Climate Justice Advocate, Digital Innovator, Incoming Author, and Para-Counsellor. He previously served as Commissioner of the UCU Law Society, where he championed student leadership and institutional reform.
A visionary scholar, Kalungi is deeply committed to advancing inclusive legal reform, youth empowerment, and digital transformation across Uganda and beyond. His work reflects a strong belief in the power of law and technology to drive sustainable social change.
Kalungi is a certified Carbon Justice Practitioner and an active member of the Global Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Network, the Grassroots Justice Network, and the YALI Network. Through these platforms, he contributes to global movements promoting environmental accountability, access to justice, and youth leadership.
As an incoming author, his recent article, “Legal Education Reform and Modern Pedagogy,” was featured in the Uganda Law Students’ Association Journal (2025), offering a critical reflection on the evolving landscape of legal education and the role of temporality in modern pedagogy.
